CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – April 28, 2025 — The devil may have gone down to Georgia, but that was just a stop on his way to Corpus Christi! Get ready for a night of blistering riffs, soaring solos, and epic guitar battles as the Six String Showdown takes over House of Rock on Wednesday, May 21st.

Doors open at 7 PM, and for just $10, music lovers can witness some of the area’s top guitar slingers throw down in the Qualifying Round of this electrifying competition hosted by MattMan, guitartist and vocalist for the bands INDIO and Any Colour You Like and host of House of Rock’s Open Mic Night.

Contestants will each have two minutes to wow the crowd over a backing track provided at the event. But here’s the twist: the audience decides who advances! So guitarists, rally your biggest fans – every cheer counts. Winners will move on to the intense semi-final round, one step closer to claiming ultimate six-string supremacy.

Once the qualifiers are identified, they will move on to the semi-finals taking place the very next week on Wednesday, May 28th.Victoria Valentine of Rock 92.7 has been announced as the first judge on the panel for the Semi-Finals. Stay tuned as more judges are announced…
